Establishing Your Voice in Your Writing In-Person

This workshop is designed to discuss strategies for establishing yourself as the author of your work. You’ll develop skills in framing the interpretation of analysis or findings, emphasizing the novelty of your work or your contribution to knowledge, and guiding your readers effectively through the text. Being present in your writing demonstrates your competence and authority—and this workshop will help with that! 

Highlights: 

  • Framing interpretation of analysis/findings.

  • Pointing clearly to what is novel and emphasizing the value of your own work.

  • Managing strength of claim.

  • Taking the readers with you and guiding them through your text.

This workshop is held in person in McLaughlin Library, Room 384. You will receive a reminder 1-2 days before the event.
