Data Skills Workshop Series: Introduction to Tableau Online

Tableau is a robust data visualization software that requires no coding. It enables you to make interactive visualizations and dashboards to communicate the stories hidden in your data. There is a free ‘public’ version, or a free academic desktop license for academics.

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to use Tableau to perform basic data cleaning and preparing and create various data visualizations.

You will need a computer with the latest version of Tableau Public or Tableau Desktop (note that this requires an application process which can take some time to get approved) installed.

Please note: All software installation must be done before the workshop, please ensure that you followed any account creation or software installation instructions.  Out of courtesy to the class we will not be able to troubleshoot software set up during class time.  If you have any issues, please contact the IT Help Desk

A Zoom link will be sent prior to the workshop.
