Virtual Writing Café: DWR Edition Online
This special edition of Virtual Writing Café has been set up so that our Dissertation Writing Retreat participants can get a sneak peak at what we do every Monday morning! As usual, the Café is open to everyone: undergraduates, graduates, post-docs, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars. If you are a regular on Mondays, come on out to this bonus session and show our dissertation writers how much fun we have!
The Virtual Writing Café is an online space where writers can set aside distractions and join a campus-wide community to focus on writing and research projects. Every Monday morning, we meet online to build community and accountability. You can join from anywhere, whether you are on campus, doing fieldwork abroad, or signing in from an actual café! Each session lasts 2.5 hours with set times for goal setting, writing sprints, regular breaks, and even some socializing.

Please note that this space is intended for independent writing time. Your host will be working or writing alongside you and will not be available for tutoring or writing instruction. We will ask that microphones be muted during writing sprints. Cameras may be on or off, but we suggest keeping your camera on as much as possible, because it is motivating to see other folks typing, thinking, and writing.
