University Life Hack: Writing with the Pomodoro Technique Online
Looking to improve your focus and motivation? Want to get on track with your writing assignments? Look no further!
Join Rebecca, a Writing Support TA with the University of Guelph Library, for a Pomodoro session to boost productivity, improve focus, and get your writing and work done in the comfort of a community of other like-minded students.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time-management trick involving the use of a timer to create manageable intervals of focused work separated by short breaks. Positive side effects of regularly using this method include, but are not limited to, fighting procrastination; improving focus and the ability to plan; and enhancing productivity and well-being.
Your task: Arrive promptly at the beginning of the scheduled session with the writing and/or work that you want to make progress on. In this 2-hour session, Rebecca will facilitate 4 rounds of 25-minute ‘Pomodoros’ (work intervals) separated by 5-minute breaks. Late arrivals should check the ‘Chat’ to find out what stage we are at, and please mute your mics until we are in a 5-minute break.
How do I attend? Register, and a link will be emailed to you.
