Data Skills Bootcamp In-Person

The Library will be offering its first Data Skills Boot Camp (DSBC) during the week of August 10 to 13.  During this 4-day online workshop, attendees will participate in hands on activities that will introduce them to or remind them of the key stages of the research data lifecycle.  The curriculum will include:

  1. Data Basics

  2. Data Management

  3. Creating & Getting data

  4. Data Cleaning & Preparing

  5. Data Analysis (quantitative, qualitative, and geospatial)

  6. Data Visualization

The DSBC is based upon our popular longstanding Data Skills Workshop Series that we offer over multiple weeks each semester.  We have selected the core workshops from this series and are offering them via an intensive bootcamp format to help researchers kickstart their projects ahead of the Fall semester.  Previous experience working with data is not necessary.

The workshop format is asynchronous and follows a proscribed order.  Dependant upon attendance and demand, some sessions may also be offered synchronously.

Access to the materials will be provided via a separate email ahead of the Bootcamp.
