Once you are aware of some simple principles, workflows and tools, it’s easy to ensure that the educational resources you create or procure will be accessible to all learners!
Topics discussed will include:
- What makes document and multimedia content accessible or inaccessible and how to tell the difference
- The legal and cultural expectations for the provision of accessible educational materials
- How to create accessible Microsoft Word documents or repair existing ones
- Best practices for making graphical content accessible
- Strategies for creating accessible video
- Free accessibility-related services and resources available to UG instructors
This session will provide opportunities for hands-on learning. Participants need to bring their own laptops with a locally installed copy of Microsoft Office or Office 365.
