Writing in the Sciences: A Song of Ice and Fire In-Person

This workshop series is designed to help you improve your scientific writing skills. If you’re a graduate student working on a thesis or an undergraduate student interested in graduate-level research, these workshops are for you. Register for one session or register for all six.

Winter is coming, and you need to write that scientific paper. But do you feel you know nothing about writing an engaging science paper?

If so, come explore how the Game of Thrones character, Daenerys, develops from an abused sister into a powerful Queen who proclaims, "I am the dragon's daughter, and I swear to you that those who would harm you will die screaming.” Learn the story techniques behind her enthralling development and then apply the techniques to your scientific writing. Afterwards, your writing will stick ‘em with the pointy end and captivate your reader.
