Pride, Activism, and Dance: Movie Night Extravaganza!

Join the library for a double feature movie night that will showcase the struggles for the gay community during the AIDS epidemic, and the vibrant drag scene of New York in the 1980s! Pride is both a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and a protest against continued discrimination on the basis of sexuality, sexual identity, gender, or sex. It is celebrated year-round through the LGBTQIA+ community’s courage to proudly be their authenticate selves and through the work of advocating for LGBTQIA+ issues and right around the world.

Movies:

  • Paris Is Burning

  • United in Anger: A History of ACT UP
